About Our Workshops

Chain Reaction have been facilitating workshops with young people aged 5-19 for over fifteen years. Our workshops use a variety of different techniques including drama, art, street dance and music to explore topical issues. We work hard to genuinely benefit young people by providing a fun, safe and positive environment where they can learn new things, try new activities and develop social skills, confidence and self-esteem.

Workshops are issue-based and can explore a variety of different issues such as:

  • Drugs awareness
  • Teenage pregnancy
  • Knife crime
  • Healthy eating
  • Community cohesion
  • Anti-social behaviour
  • Self-esteem
  • Aspirations
  • Teamwork
  • Social skills

Chain Reaction’s workshops allow young people to express themselves in a relaxed and creative setting, where they have an equal opportunity to participate. We aim to challenge and empower young people by giving them a voice to speak out about issues that are important to them. Our workshops give young people the chance to interact with others, discuss and debate relevant issues and help them to develop the skills necessary for them to achieve their full potential in life.

Sessions are flexible and can be structured into a whole day, a week, a one-off session or a series of shorter workshops, depending on what is required. If necessary, we have our own studio space that comfortably holds up to 30 young people and is ideally suited to our workshops. We can devise activities around a range of subject matters, so get in touch to discuss your ideas.

We deliver workshops in a range of locations for a range of clients and purposes. Find out more about our different types of workshops by visiting the pages below:

“Where do I start, the CRTC are fantastic! Sarah and her team are always innovative, enthusiastic
and relevant – they bring everyday topics bang up to date with their vibrant and exciting
performances. Their messages are always clear and their workshops are great fun –
all the local children enjoy taking part and look forward to their return every time.”
