Mainstream theatre

In 2002 the company branched out into a new area of work and began producing musical theatre for mainstream adult audiences. Staying true to our overall philosophy, the company have to date produced two outstanding musical comedies exploring contemporary issues and perceptions of every day life, which engaged audiences all over Britain with thought-provoking writing and hilarious comedy performances.

Everyone Loves Me is a vibrant musical exploring our obsession with the world of celebrity and reality TV. The show was written by critically acclaimed writers, Paul Tibbey and Mark Sims and was a huge hit, securing the Best Musical Award in the 2003 Fringe Report Awards after a successful run in London and at the Edinburgh Festival. The show was further showcased by Mercury Musicals in the West End in 2004.

In 2007 the company decided that rather than taking the more traditional route of commissioning a play, they would devise and develop their own piece of theatre by hosting a series of workshops with a number of accomplished directors and working alongside a writer.

The outcome was Pretty Please a musical comedy exploring the excesses and absurdities of the beauty industry. This had its world premiere at Greenwich Playhouse in January 2007 and was hailed by The Stage as having all the ingredients of a cult classic! Watch this space for further developments…..
