Freelance Actors and Workshop Facilitators (paid)
A major part of our work involves working with young people out in the community. This includes delivering projects, including theatre performances and interactive workshops, in schools, community venues and here at Chain Reaction headquarters. We need positive, energetic and inspiring actors and workshop facilitators in order to deliver our messages in a way that young people can relate to and understand.
As part of the Chain Reaction team you’ll be an accomplished actor with experience of working in educational theatre and a real passion for working with young people. As the public face of the company you’ll embody the spirit of our shows and projects, you’ll be an excellent communicator with a positive upbeat attitude and you’ll be a role-model for all young people that we work with.

Volunteers and Work Experience (unpaid)
We’re constantly on the lookout for enthusiastic, organised people to join our busy team, either as a volunteer or as part of a work experience placement.
As part of the Chain Reaction team you’ll play an essential role in the day to day running of the company and get to experience what it’s like to work for a dynamic and exciting company producing award-winning projects. You’ll get to see what goes on behind the scenes, as well as having the opportunity to be involved in our project work out in the field.
There are a variety of interesting and exciting tasks you may be involved with including:
- arts administration
- marketing
- assisting the director
- prop making
- set design
- assisting at workshops
All we ask is that you are reliable, punctual and enthusiastic about the work we do! In return we hope to provide you with a beneficial and life-enriching experience as well as opportunities for professional development and social interaction.
