It’s amazing that it has taken about 63 years for the design of the UK eletric plug to be so radically improved but that is just what a student of the Royal College of Arts has done. Min-Kyu Choi showcased his design at the college’s graduate show and seems to have been a deserved “show-stopper”. The main attraction to this design I believe is how it manages to compress the plug into a very sleek and compact component without loosing any functionality. Read more
It’s refreshing to see Chimamanda Adichie, one of Nigeria’s brightest and talented authors, featured on TEDtalks. In this video, she examines how our lives and cultures are composed of many overlapping stories. It’s a very eloquent and compelling case against people judging others based on stereotypes and misconceptions.
Firefox already allows users to automatically search (Google) straight from the address bar by just typing a term or phrase. Today I got news I’ve been waiting for some time now. Vodafone UK has just updated their website and confirmed that the glorious Nokia 97 will be available on their network from July. Since I first heard that Nokia would be coming out with a touch screen-QWERTY combination, I have been scratching around for every bit of news about the product and when it would be out in the UK.
So, I have finally re-launched my blog after a rather long absence from the blogosphere. My first attempt never really got off the ground anyway, and I decided to deactivate “Make the most” to allow for a redesign of my website, amongst other things. Read on »
